Do you have a tradition when it comes to Valentine’s Day? A certain restaurant or activity? I’m all over the place every year mainly because of the kids. Who wants to babysit on Valentine’s Day? So every year we try to make the most of being at home with the kids. And create fun ways to celebrate our love. I’m sharing some of my favourite Date ideas that allow you to stay in the comfort of your own home!
Spectacular Movie Night
Dress up the TV room with blankets, pillows, candles and your favourite snacks. Go extra special by making a charcuterie board. And if you really want to have a fun evening, try building a fort! Trust me it’s actually more fun than you think. Include the kids in the Fort making process before they head up for bed!

Cook Together

Spend time in the kitchen learning a new recipe together. It’s a great way to bond and build on communication. You can make it fun for the whole family, and then cook a special dessert after the kids have gone to bed!
Explore the World
Make a fun evening, or an entire day of trying foods from around the globe. Croissants for breakfast, tacos for lunch and a delicious last meal for dinner. Make each meal fun with music to match the meal and the appropriate drink!
Make a Game Night
Pick your favourite games and have some fun. Whether it’s a board game or cards. Put on some music, light some candles and create laughs.
Have Dessert in Bed
Dress the bedroom up with candles and comfy blankets. Grab some of your favourite treats and put on some good music. Snuggle up and enjoy, and for more entertainment. You can ask each other fun questions to learn more about one another.

Star Gazing
Get dressed up, grab blankets, the baby monitor and head outside to gaze at the stars. Enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of the night sky. Make it extra fun with snacks and some hot cocoa!
A few of our favourite date ideas when we have the kids around. The focus is to make it fun and enjoy yourselves!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love,
