DIY Coffee Face Mask

It’s Monday! Another weekend passed, and we all are now facing another week. This past month has being non-stop in our home. Everyday we have had some event going on. Not to mention our new eight week old puppy in the house. Incase you are wondering… it’s like having a newborn baby in our home again. But he is certainly cute! And out Daughters adore him.

All this activity has had me feeling run down. But nothing to boost you up again by spending a night doing some self care. Spent my evening drinking tea, doing yoga, cleaned my makeup brushes and made my favourite coffee face mask.

You didn’t know you could use coffee? OFCOURSE you can! Don’t spend your money on drugstore masks. And make your own at home that are natural, no chemicals and have many benefits to your skin. Also, they are quite inexpensive!

I stopped paying big bucks for masks last year when I realized all the different kinds of masks I could make myself in less than five minutes.

Coffee has so many great benefits for your skin! From reduce eye puffiness, exfoliation, skin firming, it’s filled with antioxidants and so many more. After one mask I noticed a huge boost in my skin.

To give it extra vibrance. I add fresh lemon juice. The nutrients, acidity and Vitamin C helps give your skin the boost it needs. Along with extra virgin olive oil, or your oil of choice for moisture.

One use and you will be feeling great! I love making a slightly larger batch to use in my whole body! NOW I’m no skin professional. Be sure to do a spot test before using on your whole face or body. Lemon juice is very acidic, and those with sensitive skin my find it uncomfortable to use on their skin.

Ready for fresh, bright skin?

Lemon + Coffee Face Scrub

  • 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp coffee grounds
  • 1 tsp EVOO (or coconut oil)

  1. Combine all ingredients
  2. Rub gently onto face
  3. Leave onto skin for 30 minutes
  4. Rub in for two minutes
  5. Rinse

* one time use mask, these ingredients don’t last long together after combined. Waste leftovers or use the rest on your body!
