Kay Von D Eyeliner Review

I was recently given the Kat Von D Cake Pencil and Tattoo Liner complimentary to review.

Truth is, I have been using the Tattoo Liquid Liner for over a year now! So when I was given it complimentary I was super excited! It is my favourite eyeliner for the perfect “wing” look. The tip is precise and doesn’t fray with use. The gel glides on smoothly for your choice of fine or thick line, and it is long wear! I have gone over 12 hours without my eyeliner smudging. If you are looking for an eyeliner that will give you a dramatic, precise line. This is the one you must use!

The Cake Pencil is a new release from Kat Von D. I’m all about honesty and my review is “meh”. What I LOVE about this pencil is the opacity. You get a great, thick coverage and it’s creamy texture makes it easy to apply. But the creamy texture, and thickness of the actual stick is it’s down fall. As a busy Mom I have found the eyeliner smudges very easily, and it’s difficult to get a precise line. If you are wanting a smudged look, or darkening around your eyelash line (which I primarily use it for) then this eyeliner is perfect for you. If you are wanting a pencil that will give you precision, I would go for the liquid Tattoo Liner.

Kat Von D is always innovating traditional makeup and I appreciate that it is cruelty free and vegan. Many popular makeup brands still to this day test on animals. Not naming anyone but shame on you!
